Twenty years of trading is no mean feat in the car industry, and that is what Athena Leasing Ltd had achieved, however as most things in life, you need to move on, and that is exactly what the re-launch of the business has achieved, with new branding, new ideas and a new exciting future.
 
During the summer of 2010 Athena Vehicle Solutions was launched, a new fresh, vibrant and young look was produced, including the above logo, and new services were bought on board, these included a One Call Fleet Maintenance Card, this is now available, from the driver with his own car, to a fleet manager with a huge pool of vehicles. Available on a contract basis or Pay as you Go it is the flexible friend that all drivers should have, Athena are giving the first 12 months free with every new car.
 
The second part of the new look is the Health and Safety Management programme that includes, Duty of Care, Fleet Monitoring and Risk Management, with the new corporate manslaughter laws coming more into the spotlight, it is becoming important that all directors are covered, so Athena Vehicle Solutions has the perfect package, Managing Director, Sharon Wyatt said “As most directors these days, I am worried about every little safety aspect of my business, for two reasons, one because I want my staff to feel valued, and secondly also to cover me and prevent me from the legal procedures that are prominent in the press, we respect a lot of fleet managers and directors spend a lot of time chasing bits of paper, ensuring they are covered, this new programme is all computerised and ensures that drivers, to continue driving in a safe environment, must comply with their side.”
 
Athena have also managed to secure a supply agreement for Gap Insurance, where in case of an accident, and there is a gap between insurers value and finance house value, this product will enable you to rest with the assurance of no money coming from your pocket.
 
Athena are still the longest serving local Contract Hire business and are still offering very competitive rates on all car and commercial vehicles, for both businesses and personal contracts, but the profit margins were ripped out of the industry a couple of years ago, Sales Manager Ben Coates said “the days of making a decent living from purely leasing the vehicle are long gone, the essence of Athena’s past success has been taken away from people driving margins down because they didn’t have big offices to run, when I joined Athena, I was delighted to join such a vibrant company that didn’t want to stand still and allow the industry to catch them out, bringing the new products on board has offered a new dimension, and to be honest, this is just the start, whilst we have kept the Athena ethics, we now have the new AVS outlook!”
