Latest TBP News >>

McPhillips are pleased to have recruited seven local youngsters to their Apprenticeship scheme this year. The scheme has been providing employment and bringing young people in to the industry for fourteen years but due to the economic climate had to be suspended for two years and they are now extremely pleased to have been able to provide these opportunities again during 2010.

The young people will benefit from their extensive training programme which will prepare them for a safe and productive working life within the construction industry. The Apprenticeship runs as a two year course and alternates periods at college with periods on site gaining a valuable combination of practical and educational experience. On successful completion of the programme, Apprentices will gain an NVQ in Construction, NRSWA, CSCS card and First Aid qualification.
