Presented by Kathryn Holloway (TYP Chair) & Thom Kennedy (Business Editor, Shropshire Star), Chris Pallett, owner of Bespoke Computing was the first winner of this award, with joint runners up, Adam Ward & Shawn Hammond, both of Lyreco also receiving an award to recognise their contribution to local business. Chris said “I am honoured to be the first recipient of this new award and look forward to using it to support the future work of Telford Young Professionals within the local business community".

The award was open to entrants in the age group 18-35, and from any individual who works within the Telford or Shropshire area and felt they had made an outstanding contribution to local business, or had set up their own enterprise. The calibre of entries made the judging process a very prolonged and difficult one, and has set a standard which 2012 entrants may find hard to beat !
