Good news from Telford firm |
A Telford manufacturing company with more than 25 years' experience in sheet metal engineering is set to create new jobs as its order book goes from strength to strength.
Sheet Metal Solutions is looking to expand its workforce at Hadley Business Park, where it makes products for a wide range of sectors including electrical, security, telecoms, catering, entertainment, and domestic appliances.
Spokesman Sam Osman said the business, which takes on both prototype and full production contracts, was expecting to expand its range of services and take on more staff.
"We are a customer-focused organisation which aims to build a long-standing supply chain to our customers by understanding and exceeding their expectations of a sheet metal fabricator.
"In today's world, purchasing managers and engineers are placed under ever increasing pressure to reduce expenditure and minimise stock while maintaining a constant supply of high quality goods to the production line.
"We believe that we truly understand this concept and positively encourage the decision maker to work with us."
The news has been welcomed by Transforming Telford, the economic development organisation for the area, which has been working with Sheet Metal Solutions for more than a year.
Inward Investment Co-ordinator at Transforming Telford, Bryn Jones, said: "We have been delighted to assist the company with its expansion plans by providing information on commercial premises in the Telford area, arranging property viewings, and offering other support services.
"This is a great news story for Telford on two levels, particularly in such difficult economic times.
"It is great to hear some positive news about a company which is growing, developing, and expanding its range of services and creating new jobs, and it is also reassuring to see that it's not all doom and gloom in the manufacturing sector."
