WORK STARTS ON ELECTRICITY OPERATOR’S NEW TELFORD SITE

Yorkshire based development company Prospect Estates have announced the completion of the first sale at its Epic Park site on Halesfield Industrial Estate in Telford.
Western Power Distribution Limited have acquired a warehouse unit extending to approximately 13,260 sq.ft (1,232 sq.m) together with a two-storey office block that extends to approximately 7,730 sq.ft (718 sq.m) and a car park and yard of around 1.5 acres (0.6 ha).
The electricity distribution network operator for the Midlands, South Wales, and the South West, deliver electricity to over 7.6 million customers over a 55,300 sq kilometre area. The company employ around six thousand staff and the foundations of the company’s success has been built on achieving excellence in safety, reliability, customer service, business efficiency and the environment..
Prospect Estates were represented by the Telford office of Bulley’s Chartered Surveyors whilst the Birmingham office of Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of Western Power. Matthew Tilt at Bulley’s stated, “Our client invested heavily in Telford by purchasing the former Plastic Omnium premises and dividing it into a separate industrial estate. To secure the first sale goes some way to rewarding them for their commitment in the town and Western Powers’ decision to choose Epic Park for their Telford base is a clear endorsement of the quality of the estate”.
